Over 350 participants
registered online - almost
30% were biking to work for
the first time!

Father's Day Walk was held in
downtown Reno to promote
awareness of prostate cancer
prevention & screening.  WWP
led the walk!

Commission (RTC), Bicycle &
Pedestrian Advocacy
Committee providing input on
ways to make Reno a more
pedestrian -friendly
ocmmunity.

raises over $1,000 to support
future Widespread Wellness
activities.
City of Reno - City Council Meeting:  August 20th
The Reno City Council will take up the issue of re-striping Mayberry Lane
(between McCarran and 4th Street) with bike lanes.  Come show your support
at 6pm in Council Chambers.

September is America on the Move Month!  You can participate in a nationwide
step challenge by visiting www.americaonthemove.com and signing up as a
Widespread Wellness Project group member.  Use the website to track your
steps for the month.  Contact us for a free pedometer if you don't already have
one!
