Building Inter-Disciplinary Curriculum and Community Action in Renewable Energy and Sustainability

This project was funded by Oregon Tech’s Oregon Renewable Energy Center and hosted at the at the Gaucho Collective co-working space in Klamath Falls, Oregon. A collaboration with Center for Sustainable Economy, this project included a grant proposal, the design and hosting of a workshop series with invited speakers from the region, and a ten week university course. It culminated with a final report, “MULTI-DISCIPLINARY, PLACE-BASED RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC PROGRAM DESIGN IN RENEWABLE ENERGY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT”, which proposes new academic programs that bring together sociology, engineering, and sustainability.
