A Community Food Assessment to Help Build a Culture of Health

Klamath County had big ideas for their local food system, and a key step in making them happen was to conduct a more current Community Food Assessment. Sponsored by the Oregon Food Bank via the Klamath-Lake Counties Food Bank and spanning both Klamath and Lake Counties, this project included interviews with local food system leaders, secondary data research, and extensive local surveys. The report, “Building a Culture of Health: Charting a Course for a Sustainable Food System”, was leveraged for grant applications and to further galvanize community discussion.
